CBD vs Medical Cannabis

Cannabidiol is a Phytocannabinoid, which is non-psycho-toxic and has a remarkable safety profile. Extracted from the hemp plant, agricultural or industrial hemp has tall, bamboo-like, thick stocks, very thin leaves, and little to no flowers. Defined as a Cannabis plant containing less than 0.3% THC, hemp is grown mainly to make textiles, food & oils, and does not get you “high”. Marijuana plants tend to be shorter plants and are grown for their flowers. The THC content is exceptionally higher (above 3%) in these plants and is mainly used recreationally, however, some states have legalized medical marijuana and or have legislation in place to allow marijuana for use with a recommendation from a doctor.

The low concentrations of THC in hemp make it a more promising choice for those users who would prefer to experience the benefits of CBD, minus the euphoria or psycho-toxicity that is associated with medical Cannabis.
